Crankshaft Grinding & Polishing
One of the most popular machining operations that we perform is crankshaft grinding and polishing. We can accurately grind and polish the rod and main journals of just about any crankshaft renewing the bearing surfaces to better than factory specifications, we also perform Magnaflux testing, straighten bent crankshafts and cut new keyways when needed. Line Honing
Ensuring the crankshaft and camshaft center lines are straight is a critical step of rebuilding an engine. If the block bores are not straight, it can cause the rotating assemblies to bend and flex under heavy load increasing the chance of engine failure. We carefully measure the diameter and check the alignment of every engine we build making sure the engine block is within manufacture's recommended tolerance.
Four-Axis Computerized Boring
A proper cylinder wall finish is crucial for sealing the compression and oil rings. We make sure your blocks cylinders and perfectly smooth and round, reducing the chance of compression loss and oil consumption, this in turn will help your engine reach in maximum horsepower potential and increase it's overall longevity.
Piston & Connecting Rod Reconditioning
Vegas Machine Nevada Crankshaft performs piston and connecting rod reconditioning services. Our piston services include checking the pin clearances, cutting valve reliefs, milling vertical and lateral gas ports and fly cutting. For connecting rods, we can check the rod sizes, Magnaflux to check for cracks, shot peen and polish and replace the small end pin bushings if needed.
Cylinder Head Repair & Reconditioning Services
Our head department has the finest equipment in the industry today. We use a robins seat guide machine with a CBN surfacer to give our heads the best performance. We have the capability to due any heads from 2 strock to V-8's and diesel.

Flywheel Resurfacing and Kingpin Bushing Work
Vegas Machine Nevada Crankshaft provides more than just engine machining services. We also resurface cast, aluminum and chromoly flywheels, lighten race flywheels and perform flywheel balancing. In addition we also fit and press king pin bushings for a variety of applications and can assemble spindles on most vehicles from VW's to heavy duty trucks.
